Q: Why is this study being done?

A: Enrollment changes, uncertain revenues, increasing operating costs, unfunded State and federal mandates, the need to properly maintain, protect and preserve district assets and facilities. Click here for more.

Q: How is the community involved?

A: The Wynantskill Union Free School District will be conducting special Community Forums to describe the process we have outlined and share issues and challenges we have identified. In addition, we will set aside time during each forum to listen to you. Do you have items you feel should be added to the list of challenges? What thoughts, ideas and suggestions do you have for addressing any or all of the challenges? We really want and need community input. We have engaged an experienced facilitator to conduct these forums and help with the process.

Q: What is the purpose of the Ad hoc Committee?

A: Assist the Board of Education in their role to provide a sound education for our community’s children at a cost our taxpayers can afford, by identifying a variety of potential options for addressing the most critical challenges the school district will face over the years ahead. Click here for more information.

Q: How will I know what the committee is working on?

A: Progress reports and presentations will be posted on the website.

Q: What if I have a question or suggestion?
A: Email: planning@wynantskillufsd.org
