This sidebar contains several links that may prove helpful to families as they work in partnership with the school on behalf of their children.

 The Wynantskill Union Free School District is responsible for providing special education services to all resident students who qualify for such supports. These services are coordinated  by the district's Special Education Department, which encompasses the district's Committees for Special Education at the preschool, elementary and middle levels.

To the greatest extent possible, our school district believes in educating children with disabilities within a normal school environment. Special programs are available to allow students to receive instruction tailored to their specific and unique needs.  Toward that end, our district operates an inclusion model of service delivery.  This means that students attending school in our building receive services within the regular classroom throughout the school day unless otherwise specified on their IEP.  Services may include special education instruction, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy,  or other supports according to each child's needs.
