English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematic Assessment Results
The New York State Education Department has released results for the May 2011 3-8 NYS Tests in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The data shows that Wynantskill USFD continues to exceed the state’s “proficiency” standards in both ELA and Mathematics. Although we have made gains and several of our grade levels and continue to outpace NYS average passing rate, we also continue to set long term goals, assess our achievement progress, and identify instructional gaps. *Please note: for the 2009-2010 school year results, the Education Department raised the English Language Arts and Math "cut scores" for the "Basic" and "Proficient" performance levels. Raising the cut scores in this manner caused a statewide drop in the percent of students scoring at proficiency levels 3 and 4.
