In the hustle and bustle of the back-to-school season, families in New York might not realize their Summer EBT benefits expire 122 days after issuance, which for some families could be as soon as October 17th. Use your remaining balance and stock up on fruits, veggies, and pantry staples!
If you’re not sure when your benefits were issued, the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) has three ways for you to check:

Visit www.ebtEDGE.com. Click on “Cardholder Login” under the Cardholder portal section. You will be prompted to login or register with your Summer EBT card information.

Download and use the ebtEDGE mobile app (can be downloaded on Google Play Store and Apple App Store).

Call 1-888-328-6399 and follow the prompts.
Finally, make sure to keep your Summer EBT card in a safe place. You’ll use the same card next year if you are eligible again!
