For our December monthly virtue of generosity, we kicked off the Penny Wars Competition today!
Penny Wars is a week-long challenge to raise money for the “Royals Care Closet”, a snack/hygiene/food resource for students and families.
Students will donate pennies to their classroom jars in the lobby starting this Wednesday and ending next Wednesday.
Classes earn points for pennies and lose points for silver coins in their jar, with the goal being the highest final score by sabotaging opponents with negative points.
Students put pennies in their own team’s jar (+1 point each) and nickels, dimes, or quarters into other classes’ jars to subtract points (e.g., a quarter is -25 points), making strategy crucial!
There will be a prize for the winner of PreK-2nd grades, 3rd-5th grades, and Middle School. Students were so excited to start donating today!
