Pre-K Supply List

Dear Pre-K families,

I hope everyone is enjoying a fun and relaxing summer.  My name is Chelsea Passaro, and I am very excited to welcome you to the Gardner-Dickinson family!  I cannot wait for our classroom to once again be filled with the fun and excitement of Pre-K. The big day will be here before we know it! Our first day of school is September 5th. Children should be brought to the main entrance by an adult each day at 8:30 a.m. We will dismiss from the same entrance at 2:30 p.m.  Children must be signed in and out by an adult listed on their emergency contact form every day.  For the children’s safety, ID verification will be needed for any new adult picking your child up.

Children should come to school prepared with:

  • A backpack
  • A water bottle
  • A change of clothes in a clear Ziploc bag
  • 1 2-pocket folder
  • 1 composition notebook
  • 2 1-Gallon size Ziploc bags (for library)

*Please label all items with your child’s first and last name. *
(It is best to avoid sending in any toys or electronics from home, as these become a distraction in school, and often wind up lost or broken.)

Pre-K children learn best through hands-on experiences, which can be very messy. Please send your child to school in clothes that they can move, play, paint, and eat in. This includes shoes that they can run and climb in (No Flip-Flops). Please also try to avoid buttons or belts that your child cannot manage independently.  I cannot wait to get to know all of our new Pre-K families. We are going to have a wonderful school year filled with fun, friendship, music, reading, curiosity, discovery, and so much more!

As I will begin maternity leave shortly after the start of the school year, our wonderful substitute teacher, Mrs. Shoemaker will begin the new school year with us on the very first day.  Along with our teaching assistant Miss Daisy, we will be eagerly awaiting your arrival on September 5th.  If you have any questions in the meantime, I am always reachable by email at

Your Pre-K Teacher,

Mrs. Passaro
