Dr. Mary Yodis
Superintendent
Dr. Mary Yodis has been with the Wynantskill UFSD since 2012. Dr. Yodis served as the building principal for eight years and was appointed district superintendent in September 2020.
Before coming to the Wynantskill UFSD, Dr. Yodis served as principal at Cairo-Durham CSD for two years and was a special education teacher in grades 1-6 for 10 years at North Colonie CSD.
Dr. Yodis has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Psychology, a Master’s of Science in Reading and Special Education, Advanced Graduate Degree in School and District Leadership and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Shannon Toomey
Principal
Ms. Toomey was appointed building principal of the Gardner-Dickinson school in July 2023.
With over 21 years of working in the North Colonie School District, Ms.Toomey has dedicated her career to fostering an environment of learning and growth. Her impressive qualifications and innovative approach to education make her a perfect fit for Gardner-Dickinson.
Ms. Toomey holds a Master’s of Science in Reading/Special Education as well as certificate of advanced graduate studies in administrative leadership. Her passion for education and commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment set her apart as an exceptional leader.
