To help students continue their progress in math this summer in a fun way, Math Specialists Peter Mesh and Tim Flannery have put together a Summer MobyMax Math Contest.
“Students who have been using MobyMax on a weekly basis are marking great progress. Those who participate this summer can also earn bees or SWAG awards,” said Mr. Mesh.
Sixth graders planted trees near the baseball field bleachers recently thanks to a donation from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
North Greenbush Public Library Director Mary Klimack spoke to students June 17 about the library’s Summer Reading Program.
The program starts July 1 with the goal of keeping children’s brains active and ready to learn. There are programs for three age groups: early readers, tweens and teens.

Students learned about tick and Lyme disease prevention on June 6 from Public Health Educators Olivia Morgan and Kelsey Sargood from the Rensselaer County Health & Human Services who visited for a schoolwide assembly.
